Why learn the Alexander Technique?

The Alexander Technique is not a therapy or a treatment but a learned mind/body technique. People have lessons for many different reasons – because they have physical or stress related problems or because they are sportsmen or sportswomen, dancers, actors or musicians who want to improve their skills and avoid injury, or because they are simply interested in self-development.

The Alexander Technique gives you the opportunity to observe your habits of movement and of thinking and it teaches you how to respond to the events of day-to-day life in a more mindful and less reactive way. This in turn reduces both mental and physical stress.
